Update Post - July 12th, 2025

For the sake of getting something up, I figured it was about time to do an update on what's happening with Paint Warriors. So, back at the start of June, shortly after my last post, my computer processed its last byte and refused to stay on. This left me in a bit of a lurch, as I'm not in a position to immediately purchase a new computer.

In the meantime, I've resorted to using my Steam Deck as a Linux machine. There are only two problems:

1.) Canva, where I've built my templates, doesn't want to work on Linux

2.) Since it's designed to be a video game console and not a full computer, it's missing functionality I need, such as connecting to my printers (2d and 3d).

If you remember, I was starting to 3d print terrain and objective markers for a project I'm working on called Necromunda Forever, a mod to Necromunda that would give new players a smaller gang at start, a more RPG-aligned advancement system using the mechanics of Necromunda, and most importantly more missions designed to allow more players to play against the scenarios as either teams or bitter rivals.

So, for the time being, I think I'll use this space as a journal while photos of the models I'm working on will still be available on Instagram. However, for the time being, the 5-color paint challenge will be put on hold until further notice.
